Data controller

The controller of personal data on this site is Dr. Richard Suárez (referred to here as "we"). For any matter related to this policy, write to negocios@richardsuarezu.com.

Data we collect

  • Email and name when you subscribe to receive free guides or educational content.
  • Browsing data — IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, time on page — collected by our hosting and analytics providers (Cloudflare). This data is processed in aggregate and, when technically possible, anonymized.
  • Purchase data — managed directly by Hotmart when you buy one of our products. Hotmart acts as seller and payment processor; we only receive the data needed to deliver the product to you.

Why we use it

  • To deliver the guide or content you requested.
  • To send new articles, launches, and educational content if you gave explicit consent.
  • To measure site performance and improve the reading experience.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for commercial purposes unrelated to this site.

Legal basis

We process your data based on your explicit consent (when you subscribe or check the communications box), the performance of a contract (when you buy a product), and our legitimate interest in improving the site and preventing abuse.

Who we share data with

  • Brevo (email marketing platform), to manage the subscriber list and deliver emails.
  • Hotmart, when you purchase a digital product. Hotmart has its own privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare, as hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection provider.
  • Web analytics services (when active), configured for minimum data collection.

These providers are independent third parties with their own policies. We pick them for their compliance level and only share strictly necessary data.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside your country of residence. When this happens, we require adequate safeguards — standard contractual clauses or equivalent frameworks — so that your information maintains a level of protection comparable to your jurisdiction's.

Your rights

Regardless of where you reside, you can exercise the following rights over your data at any time:

  • Access — know what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion.
  • Objection — ask us to stop processing.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured format.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.

To exercise any of these, write to negocios@richardsuarezu.com. We will respond within 30 calendar days. EU residents may also lodge a complaint with their competent data protection authority.

How to unsubscribe from emails

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it removes you from the list immediately. If you have trouble, write to us directly.

Data retention

We keep your email and name as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete the data within a reasonable timeframe unless the law requires longer retention (e.g., tax records associated with a purchase).

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information: encrypted connections (HTTPS), providers with recognized certifications, and restricted access to the list. No system is 100% invulnerable; if we detect a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as soon as technically possible.

Minors

This site is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, write to us so we can delete it.

Cookies

The use of cookies and similar technologies is detailed in our Cookies policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this document. When changes are material we will indicate so on the site and, if needed, notify you by email. The "Last updated" date in the header always reflects the current version.
